Eastern Visayas reports record 42 new COVID cases

Eastern Visayas reported 42 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, June 13, 2020, marking its highest daily infection count.

The majority of these cases are in Leyte with 36 infections spread across several towns and cities.

Three additional cases were recorded in Southern Leyte, two in Samar, and one in Biliran.

This update follows the previous day's report on June 12, which noted 14 new cases, bringing the region’s total to 90.

The earlier cases included three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and eleven locally stranded individuals from Cebu and Metro Manila.
