BARMM reports 72 COVID-19 cases, links surge to Hatid Probinsya program

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) reported 72 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, with six new cases involving locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFWs).

Health officials attributed the surge to the government's Hatid Probinsya program which brought home LSIs and ROFWs.

Of the total cases, 56 are active, 12 have recovered, and four died. Officials urged local governments to enforce stricter health protocols and reminded residents to adhere to community quarantine measures.
