Marawi records 8 new COVID-19 cases from Metro Manila

Marawi City recorded eight new COVID-19 cases after over a month with no reported cases; all cases originated from Metro Manila.

Mayor Majul Gandamra stated that the eight individuals were either locally stranded individuals (LSI) or repatriated overseas Filipinos (ROF) who arrived on June 3 and June 5.

The eight, including five females and three males, were taken directly to a community quarantine facility upon arrival.

Gandamra appealed for proper testing of LSIs and ROFs at their point of origin before sending them back to provinces.
