Gov't expands NCR Plus list to include 10 more cities

The government has expanded its list of priority areas for the COVID-19 vaccination program to include ten additional cities outside Metro Manila (NCR) and eight other regions.

These new priority cities are Bacolod, Iloilo City, Cagayan De Oro, Baguio, Zamboanga, Dumaguete, Tuguegarao, General Santos, Naga, and Legazpi.

The inclusion of these areas is due to their increasing COVID-19 cases, high urbanization levels, dense populations, and significant contributions to regional or national economies.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured that the vaccine allocation for NCR will not be reduced despite adding these new priority cities; additional supplies will depend on increased vaccine deliveries.
