Over 127K vaccinated in Cordillera; DOH urges LGUs to prioritize elders

As of Friday, June 25, over 127,000 residents in the Cordillera Administrative Region have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The majority of these vaccinations include 42,728 frontline health workers and 42,673 senior citizens, with additional recipients from other priority groups.

Dr. Amelita Pangilinan urged all senior citizens to get vaccinated as they are a priority group.

On Tuesday, June 22, the DOH-CAR called on local government units to work together in vaccinating the elderly against COVID-19 due to their increased risk of severe illness and death from the virus.
