Philippines receives first Moderna doses

The Philippines received its first shipment of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine on Sunday, June 27.

A total of 249,600 doses arrived, with about 150,000 for the government and 99,600 for International Container Terminal Services Inc.

On Wednesday, June 30, San Juan city rolled out the first Moderna vaccines to priority groups A1 to A5 at the FilOil Flying V Center.

Manila received 22,800 doses of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday night, part of the initial shipment.

In July, about 13 million more doses are expected from Sinovac and AstraZeneca, with additional deliveries of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines scheduled for July 12.
