Volleyball stars launch raffle to fund PPE for frontliners

Volleyball players in the Philippines have organized a fundraising initiative called "#ServeOurFrontliners: Raffle for Heroes" to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontliners battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Volleyball Community Gives Back to the Philippines (VCGBPH), an organization previously formed to assist victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez initiated the revival of VCGBPH after witnessing the struggles of healthcare workers and frontliners.

The initial goal of the fundraising is to produce 2,500 PPEs for distribution.

To expedite production, VCGBPH is considering purchasing raw materials to be donated to local sewers and designers.

The fundraising will involve bundle raffles offering memorabilia from various volleyball players.

Raffle tickets are priced at P300 each, and numerous volleyball stars have pledged their support and donated items for the raffle.
