Third PUI in Soccsksargen isolated over COVID-19 fears

A third person under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19 has been placed under medical isolation in Soccsksargen after manifesting symptoms.

The PUI, who traveled to Taiwan and arrived in the region two weeks ago, experienced cough, colds, and difficulty passing urine.

Samples have been collected from the individual and sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine for confirmatory testing, with results expected soon.

Two other PUIs in the region have already tested negative for COVID-19.

As of Thursday, a total of 60 individuals in Soccsksargen have been monitored for COVID-19 in the past three weeks.

Of these, 45 have completed their 14-day home quarantine and have been cleared, while 15 remain under monitoring.
