BI nab 4 Chinese allegedly involved in Parañaque POGO
Four Chinese fugitives wanted for fraud, illegal business, and concealment of crime related to income were arrested by law enforcement in Parañaque City.
The arrests occurred during a raid on a suspected cryptocurrency investment and love scam operation, which was allegedly masquerading as a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO).
The detained Chinese nationals have been held at Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City since August 22, 2024.
In separate operations, the Bureau of Immigration also apprehended a Taiwanese man wanted for rape, who had been overstaying in the Philippines for over 20 years.
Additionally, a Chinese national wanted by China and Interpol for illegal control of computer information systems was arrested on September 8, 2024.
