Malaysian national rescued from Chinese kidnappers in Parañaque

A Malaysian national was rescued in Parañaque City after being abducted and held for ransom by three Chinese nationals.

The victim, identified as 'Thing', 42, was kidnapped on Friday, September 6, and detained in Barangay Tambo.

The victim's friend reported the kidnapping and paid an initial ransom of US$85,000, but the suspects demanded an additional US$50,000.

The friend alerted the police, leading to an entrapment operation by the Parañaque City police and SWAT team.

The three suspects, identified as Li Xue Chang, 34; Huang Guanghong, 27; and Wang Yefu, 24, were arrested in Barangay Tambo.

Authorities confiscated three caliber .45 pistols, ammunition, bladed weapons, boodle money, cell phones, and a vehicle from the arrested individuals.

The suspects are facing charges for kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and illegal possession of bladed weapons.
