Shear line to bring rains to southern Luzon, Bicol

The shear line, or the tail-end of a frontal system, is predicted to bring rains to parts of southern Luzon and the Bicol region in the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

Areas like Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, and Camarines Norte may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Residents in these affected areas are advised to be vigilant against potential flash floods or landslides, particularly during heavy rainfall.

The rest of the country is expected to have mostly fair weather conditions.

However, isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or 'amihan' might be observed in the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and other remaining parts of the country will likely experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA cautioned that severe thunderstorms can lead to flash floods or landslides.

As of Saturday afternoon, no gale warning has been issued for the country's seaboards.
