Shear line, ITCZ to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Mindanao

The shear line is affecting the eastern sections of northern and central Luzon, while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affects Palawan and Mindanao.

Batanes, Cagayan, Apayao, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes can expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line, with possible flash floods or landslides.

Davao Region, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms from the ITCZ, also with risks of flash floods or landslides.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of CAR, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with risks of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds are expected in northern and central Luzon, with moderate to rough coastal waters.
