Shear line, LPA affects over 985k Filipinos; 2 dead

As of Saturday, November 25, the shear line and a low-pressure area have affected 985,733 individuals nationwide, with two deaths and one injury reported by the NDRRMC.

A total of 270 houses were damaged, with 255 partially and 45 totally damaged.

Agricultural damage was valued at P38,596,838, affecting 1,571 farmers and fisherfolk.

Infrastructure damage included 101 impassable road sections and nine bridge sections, with six seaports and two airports also non-operational.

Power interruptions were reported in 60 municipalities, and communication line interruptions in four localities, while one city experienced water supply issues.

Assistance to affected individuals has reached P62,421,399.87, primarily distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Classes were suspended in 180 municipalities and work suspensions were implemented in 32 localities.
