Shear line, amihan to bring rains across PH

The shear line and the northeast monsoon will bring rains to most parts of the Philippines in the next 24 hours.

The shear line is expected to cause scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in the Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Quezon, and Dinagat Islands.

Heavy to intense rainfall is predicted for Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar, with risks of flash floods or landslides.

Moderate to heavy rains are forecast for Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Masbate, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, and Leyte.

The northeast monsoon will bring rains to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon, with potential for flash floods or landslides.

The amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Mindanao will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with potential for severe thunderstorms.

Winds will be strong to gale with rough to very rough coastal waters in the northern section of Northern Luzon.
