Shear line, Amihan to bring rains across Luzon, parts of Visayas

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring rains to Luzon and parts of the Visayas on Saturday.

A Low Pressure Area (LPA) is also being monitored by PAGASA, located east of Eastern Samar.

Areas affected by the shear line and the LPA's trough, including Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region, may experience moderate to heavy rains, potentially causing flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Bicol Region will have light rains due to the Amihan, with no significant impact expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao may encounter isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather patterns, with a possibility of severe thunderstorms leading to flash floods or landslides.

Strong northeasterly winds are anticipated in Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao, resulting in rough coastal waters.
