Shear line, amihan to bring rains over Luzon, parts of Visayas

The shear line and northeast monsoon will bring scattered rains to Luzon and parts of the Visayas, according to PAGASA.

Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, MIMAROPA, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Northern and Central Luzon, specifically Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and the rest of Cagayan Valley, will be affected by the northeast monsoon, bringing light to moderate rains.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will be felt over Luzon and the eastern section of the Visayas.

PAGASA warned the public of the risks of flash floods and landslides during moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
