Several LGUs suspend classes Monday due to Tropical Storm Ramil

Several local government units (LGUs) have suspended classes on Monday, October 20, due to Tropical Storm Ramil.

LGUs in Calabarzon, including Carmona in Cavite and Montalban and Rodriguez in Rizal, have announced class suspensions or shifts to alternative learning methods.

In the Ilocos Region, Pangasinan province, specifically Bayambang and San Carlos City, suspended classes for all levels in public and private schools.

Central Luzon also sees class suspensions in several Pampanga cities like Angeles City and San Fernando, as well as Hermosa in Bataan.

Tropical Storm Ramil, internationally named Fengshen, is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday morning.

Some LGUs cited other reasons for suspensions, including ongoing earthquakes and rising cases of influenza-like illness.
