Classes suspended in NCR, Calabarzon, and Northern Mindanao due to flu and earthquakes

Classes have been suspended in various locations across the National Capital Region, Region IV-A (Calabarzon), and Region X on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, and in some cases, beyond.

The suspensions are due to rising cases of influenza and influenza-like illnesses, as well as precautions following recent earthquakes.

In Metro Manila, several cities including Malabon, Manila, Marikina, and Parañaque have suspended face-to-face classes for various levels, shifting to alternative learning modalities.

Marikina City announced a complete suspension of classes for all levels, both public and private.

In Region IV-A (Calabarzon), Alitagtag in Batangas will have no classes on October 14 and 15, moving to modular distance learning.

Laguna province has suspended face-to-face classes for all levels from October 14 to 31, adopting alternative learning modes.

Rizal province will suspend face-to-face classes for all levels from October 14 to 17, shifting to modular distance learning.

Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, has suspended classes from October 13 until further notice.
