Classes suspended in Calabarzon, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region due to earthquakes and flu

Classes in various areas across the Philippines have been suspended for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, due to the aftermath of recent earthquakes and an increase in flu-like illnesses.

In Region IV-A (CALABARZON), Alitagtag in Batangas will shift to modular distance learning for all levels, while Laguna and Rizal provinces will suspend face-to-face classes for all levels until October 31 and October 17, respectively, opting for alternative learning modes.

Northern Mindanao's Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental has suspended face-to-face classes for both public and private schools until further notice.

The Davao Region is also affected, with Davao Oriental province suspending classes in public schools until further notice.

Several municipalities in Davao de Oro, including Mabini, Mawab, Monkayo, and Montevista, have announced class suspensions for all levels in public and private institutions, some until further notice.
