DOJ chief vows heads will roll in Alice Guo escape
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla issued a stern warning to Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel, vowing that "heads will roll" if they do not reveal the truth about the departure of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
Remulla stated that all government officials who backed or participated in Guo's illegal exit will be held accountable.
He has ordered BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco to submit an immediate report regarding the matter.
Senator Risa Hontiveros previously disclosed that Guo, also identified as Chinese citizen Guo Hua Ping, left the Philippines for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 18.
The BI confirmed Guo's departure, stating she is currently in Indonesia after allegedly flying to Singapore with her siblings.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) had previously issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin (ILBO) for individuals named Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping in June.
