Phl posts 2,006 new Covid-19 cases, 636 recoveries

The Philippines recorded 636 new recoveries from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 330,457, which is 87.2% of the total cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) announced 2,006 new confirmed cases, increasing the total active cases to 41,291.

Of the active cases, 83.3 percent are mild, 11.1 percent are asymptomatic, 2 percent are severe, and 3.6 percent are in critical condition.

Batangas topped the list of places with the most number of newly-confirmed cases at 124, followed by Cavite with 121, Quezon City with 105, Rizal with 89, and Bulacan with 81.

The DOH reported 38 new deaths, raising the country's Covid-19 death toll to 7,185.

As of October 30, the Philippines has a total of 1,900 ICU beds, 13,500 isolation beds, and 5,900 ward beds dedicated for Covid-19 patients.

Approximately 77 percent of the 2,000 available ventilators are in use.
