Philippines logs 2,092 new COVID-19 cases, 52 deaths

The Philippines has recorded 349,974 recoveries from COVID-19, with 462 new recoveries reported on Friday.

A total of 2,092 new infections were reported, increasing the active COVID-19 cases to 34,374.

Of the active cases, 83.6 percent are mild, 9.8 percent are asymptomatic, 2.4 percent are severe, and 4.2 percent are in critical condition.

The highest number of new cases were from Davao City (129), Quezon City (100), Quezon province (83), Northern Samar (82), and Cavite (80).

The country also logged 52 new deaths, bringing the total COVID-19 death toll to 7,461.

As of November 5, 1,714 out of 25,900 individuals tested were positive for COVID-19.

Nationwide, 56 percent of ICU beds, 59 percent of isolation beds, and 68 percent of ward beds are available for COVID-19 patients.
