PH COVID-19 cases reach 387,161

The Philippines' COVID-19 caseload increased to 387,161 with 1,772 new infections reported on Tuesday.

Pampanga led in new cases with 154, followed by Quezon City with 115, Laguna with 83, Baguio City with 70, and Manila City with 69.

Total recoveries climbed to 348,967 after 153 more patients recovered, while the death toll rose to 7,318 with 49 new fatalities.

Thirteen cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.

Active cases now total 30,876, with 82.5 percent classified as mild, 10 percent asymptomatic, 2.7 percent severe, and 4.8 percent critical.

Globally, COVID-19 has claimed 1,202,824 lives and infected more than 46.73 million people.
