Shear line, ITCZ, Amihan to bring rains across PH

The shear line, Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring rains across the Philippines over the next 24 hours.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Aurora, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

The ITCZ will cause cloudy conditions with scattered rain and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, the rest of MIMAROPA, the rest of the Bicol Region, Dinagat Islands, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, and Lanao del Sur.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao due to the ITCZ.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains to the Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

These weather systems may result in moderate to heavy rains that could trigger flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
