4 weather systems to bring rain across PH

Four weather systems, including the shear line, northeast monsoon ('amihan'), and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), are expected to bring rain across the Philippines on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

The shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, and Aurora.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains to Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

The ITCZ will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Palawan.

Localized thunderstorms will result in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the rest of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur over some areas of the country due to these weather conditions.

Strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough coastal waters may be experienced over Northern Luzon.

The eastern section of the country will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
