3 weather systems to bring rains across PH

Three weather systems, namely the shear line, easterlies, and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), are expected to bring cloudy skies and rains to various parts of the Philippines.

The shear line will bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Aurora, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.

Heavy to intense rains are forecast over Quezon and Camarines Norte, while Aurora will experience moderate to heavy rains from the shear line.

The easterlies will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.

Rains caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will prevail over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Ifugao.

Moderate to heavy rains from these weather systems could result in flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.

The easterlies will also bring isolated light rains across the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
