Fifth batch of 35 OFW remains arrive from Saudi Arabia

The fifth batch of remains of 35 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Saudi Arabia arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.

The bodies arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, with 12 from Jeddah, 21 from Al Khobar, and two from Riyadh.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) chief Hans Leo Cacdac assured that the families of the deceased OFWs will receive due benefits.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III stated that the massive repatriation of OFWs is the government's way of paying respect and giving recognition to their valuable contribution.

This latest arrival brings the total number of repatriated OFW remains from Saudi Arabia to 302.
