Amihan and shear line bring rains to Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and a shear line are bringing rains over parts of Luzon on Sunday.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands can expect cloudy skies with rains due to the Amihan, with moderate to at times heavy rainfall potentially causing flash floods or landslides.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, also carrying the risk of flash floods or landslides.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with flash floods or landslides possible during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with flash floods or landslides possible during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon will be strong to gale.

The eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have slight to moderate conditions.
