Amihan, easterlies bring scattered rains across PH

Cloudy skies and scattered rains are expected in several parts of the Philippines on Thursday due to the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) and the easterlies.

Caraga, Davao Region, Eastern Visayas, and parts of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains from the Northeast Monsoon, which is not expected to have significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the amihan, also with no significant impact.

The remaining areas of the country are forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with potential for flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Wind speeds in the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to strong, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
