Amihan and easterlies to bring scattered rain showers across PH

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) and easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies and varying degrees of rain to different parts of the Philippines on Tuesday.

Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region may experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains from the amihan, which is not expected to have significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the amihan, also without significant impact.

The remaining areas in Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with potential for flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will face strong to gale-force winds from the northeast, leading to rough to very rough seas.

Moderate to strong northeasterly winds are predicted for Visayas, the rest of Luzon, and the northern and eastern parts of Mindanao, accompanied by moderate to rough coastal waters.
