Scattered rains expected in Mindanao, parts of Visayas and Luzon due to monsoon and easterlies

The northeast monsoon and easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to various parts of the Philippines.

Mindanao, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte will experience cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rainfall.

Northern and Central Luzon, specifically Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon, which is not expected to have significant impact.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will also see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, and a possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong northeasterly winds are forecasted for the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, resulting in moderate to rough seas.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate easterly to northeasterly winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
