New People's Army

The New People's Army (NPA) is the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), engaged in ongoing clashes with government forces across various regions in the Philippines. Recent operations have resulted in the killing and capture of several NPA rebels, as well as the seizure of weapons and supplies, reflecting the government's continued efforts to weaken the group's influence. Despite these efforts, the NPA remains active in areas with rugged terrain, where it continues to pose challenges to peace and security.
