Dengue

Dengue is a significant public health concern in the Philippines, with thousands of cases reported annually, often exacerbated by heavy rains and flooding that create ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The Department of Health and local governments are intensifying vector control and awareness campaigns to reduce transmission, especially among children and in urban areas. Efforts include community clean-ups, fogging, and promoting preventive measures to achieve the goal of zero dengue deaths by 2030.
