Food and Drug Administration

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the Philippines has been expanding its efforts to exempt critical medicines from VAT, reducing healthcare costs for patients with chronic illnesses such as cancer and diabetes. Under Director General Paolo Teston's leadership, the FDA also collaborates with other agencies like the Department of Agriculture to regulate animal vaccines crucial for food security against diseases like African swine fever and avian influenza.
