Zamboanga under state of calamity due to Paeng

Zamboanga City was placed under a state of calamity due to Tropical Storm Paeng, which caused flash floods and heavy rains.

As of Saturday, one person died, four others were missing, and over 5,000 families were evacuated across at least 42 barangays.

The storm displaced more than 1,000 families in 21 villages on Friday, with damage including destroyed slope protection structures and a collapsed bridge.
