Zamboanga City distributes seeds, launches mobile markets amid quarantine

Zamboanga City is distributing vegetable seeds to encourage residents to grow their own vegetables during the enhanced community quarantine.

The city government has allocated PHP5 million for the program, with 1,000 families already receiving packs of pechay, mustasa, and kangkong seeds.

City Agriculturist Carmencita Sanchez said these vegetables can be harvested in a month and will help ease boredom during quarantine.

Sanchez also announced plans to launch a mobile market on wheels starting in Barangay Tetuan, bringing agricultural produce directly to residents while adhering to health protocols.
