Tacloban distributes local produce as relief

Tacloban City started buying produce from local farmers to distribute as relief goods to residents affected by quarantine measures.

On Wednesday, April 8, residents of barangays Tagapuro and Santa Elena received live chicken, bangus, meat, vegetables, and rice.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez said the initiative aims to provide more nutritious food options while supporting local producers.

The city government purchased around 5,000 live chickens and 5,000 kilograms of fish from local suppliers, with plans to distribute 60 hogs in the coming days.
