Carlos Yulo's grandma joins parade last minute

The grandmother of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo decided at the last minute to watch the Heroes' Grand Homecoming Parade on Wednesday after being convinced by her sisters.

Angelita Poquiz watched alongside her sisters, grandchildren, and other relatives along Quirino Avenue near Leveriza Street where the Yulo family lives.

Rodrigo Frisco, Carlos's grandfather, earlier said they opted not to watch the parade due to their absence at Carlos's arrival but expressed pride in his achievements.

Poquiz shared that she felt happy seeing her grandson during the parade and was glad even if they did not personally meet or exchange greetings.

Carlos Yulo and other Filipino Olympians participated in the parade while residents like Poquiz cheered from Quirino Avenue.
