Williams' clutch free throws send TNT to PBA semis

Kelly Williams secured TNT Tropang 5G's advance to the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals with two crucial victories over Magnolia Hotshots on Saturday.

Williams made clutch free throws in both games, including the final seconds of Game 2 where he put TNT ahead 80-79 after being fouled by Rafi Reavis.

Despite a twice-to-beat disadvantage, TNT completed an upset over the higher-seeded Magnolia Hotshots to advance to the semifinals.

In Game 1, Williams was also key with his free throws in the dying seconds as TNT won 89-88.

TNT will face Rain or Shine ElastoPainters starting Wednesday, June 25, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, with TNT's lead guards Jayson Castro and Rey Nambatac sidelined due to injuries.

Coach Chot Reyes emphasized that while there is some relief for advancing to the Final 4, the team must remain focused as they prepare for their semifinal series against Rain or Shine.
