IATF calls for efficient management of Cebu City's quarantine facilities

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) is calling for efficient management of patient care centers in Cebu City to decongest hospitals handling severe coronavirus cases.

Melquiades Feliciano, IATF deputy chief implementer for Visayas, stated that proper management of isolation and quarantine facilities will enable medical staff to focus on serious Covid-19 patients.

Feliciano emphasized the importance of directing mild to moderate cases, suspected, and probable ones to these centers rather than hospitals, which would help decongest hospitals and improve patient care.
