Sara Duterte says Quiboloy may have left Davao

Vice President Sara Duterte stated on Sunday that Apollo Quiboloy may no longer be in Davao City as authorities continue their manhunt to serve an arrest warrant against him.

Duterte told local media that the prolonged Senate committee hearing and search operations have given Quiboloy ample time to leave Davao, criticizing what she perceived as abuse of authority by police during arrest warrant operations.

She joked about Quiboloy's whereabouts, suggesting he might be in heaven, while emphasizing the need for swift action despite the compound’s size.

Quiboloy, a spiritual adviser linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte, is accused of sex trafficking girls and women aged 12 to 25 for personal assistance.

During her visit on Sunday evening, Duterte attended the Kingdom of Jesus Christ's anniversary celebration to support members amidst ongoing challenges.

Police Regional Office 11 stated that operational procedures must be followed during warrant executions at the KOJC compound, while tensions rose between police and church members over access to the Emerald Gate.
