Sara Duterte attends KOJC anniversary, urges arrest of Quiboloy

Vice President Sara Duterte attended the 39th founding anniversary celebration of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in Davao City on Sunday, September 1.

During her visit, Duterte thanked the group for their support and apologized for seeking their backing during the 2022 elections while acknowledging that her family owes them a significant debt.

Duterte expressed doubt about the presence of Apollo Quiboloy, the church's leader who is wanted by authorities on multiple charges including human trafficking and abuse, stating he may have left Davao City.

She urged for swift action in executing arrest warrants due to the prolonged duration of security operations at KOJC’s compound, emphasizing that it affects Davao City's image.

Duterte also questioned whether the extensive police presence was an abuse of power and called for adherence to operational procedures during warrant executions.
