Rep Bongalon calls on VP Duterte to resign over budget absence

Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Raul Angelo Bongalon suggested that Vice President Sara Duterte should resign if she is not interested in her duties following the Office of the Vice President's absence during plenary debates on its proposed 2025 budget.

Despite skipping the House plenary deliberations, Duterte stated she would attend the Senate session and work with any budget given to them, emphasizing that the OVP will continue regardless of funding constraints.

The House appropriations panel has recommended a P1.29-billion cut from the OVP's proposed P2 billion budget for 2025, reducing it to P733 million.
