VP Sara Duterte visits Australia for rally, discusses ways forward

Vice President Sara Duterte departed for Australia on Tuesday night to attend a 'Free Duterte Now' rally in Melbourne on Sunday, June 22.

During her trip, Vice President Duterte emphasized that she was not on holiday but instead met with the Filipino community to discuss ways forward for the country and to push the administration to do more.

Duterte also visited Kuala Lumpur last week where she attended an Independence Day event and consulted with overseas Filipino workers, while facing an impeachment case expected to begin in July.

The Office of the Ombudsman recently ordered Sara Duterte and nine others from her office and the Department of Education to respond to charges related to alleged misuse of confidential funds.

Vice President Duterte also clarified that she discussed her father's case with him during their last conversation, noting his health condition due to lack of appetite and cold weather in The Hague.
