VP Sara Duterte returns from Melbourne, set for Pride event

Vice President Sara Duterte returned to Manila on Tuesday afternoon following her personal trip to Melbourne, Australia.

Duterte arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport aboard a Philippine Airlines flight at 1:10 p.m., according to the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

She is set to attend the Office of the Vice President's annual Pride event in San Fernando City, Pampanga on Wednesday, June 25.

In Melbourne, Duterte urged the Filipino community to convince Australian and other foreign leaders to look into alleged injustices against her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who faces charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Sara Duterte also discussed why she believes the ICC no longer has jurisdiction over her father's case and highlighted perceived legal breaches by Philippine authorities when they failed to present the former president to a local court before turning him over to the ICC.
