VP Sara Duterte returns 'anytime this week' to attend Davao festivities

Vice President Sara Duterte is set to return to the Philippines 'anytime this week' after attending a thanksgiving event for overseas Filipino workers in Hong Kong over the weekend.

Duterte plans to attend the 88th Araw ng Dabaw festivities in Davao City on March 16 and 17, including a parade organized by her brother Sebastian Duterte and a visit to the Davao City Museum next week.

During the Hong Kong event, Sara Duterte was joined by her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, and several PDP Laban candidates.

Rodrigo Duterte said he heard reports of a warrant for his arrest from the International Criminal Court (ICC), though the ICC Office of the Prosecutor declined to comment on this claim.

Malacañang stated that it is prepared for any developments related to the alleged ICC arrest warrant and has not received information about an Interpol Red Notice against Rodrigo Duterte.

Sara Duterte previously indicated her readiness to face any accusations before a Filipino court, echoing her father's stance regarding potential ICC proceedings.
