UST's Detdet Pepito leads team to five-game win streak, balances teaching

University of Santo Tomas volleyball star Detdet Pepito is leading the Golden Tigresses to an impressive five-game win streak in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball.

Despite her team's success, Pepito remains unsatisfied and aims for greater consistency as they prepare to face last year's finals nemesis, National University Lady Bulldogs, on March 16.

Pepito shared that balancing responsibilities as both an athlete and a Grade 3 Science Teacher at Juan Sumulong Elementary School in Manila can be challenging but manageable with effective time management.

She highlighted the respect she has for teachers, noting their sacrifices and dedication to students, and expressed hopefulness about completing her thesis while emphasizing perseverance in achieving academic and athletic goals.

UST continues to rely on reliable players like Pia Abbu as they navigate injuries to key players Xyza Gula and Jonna Perdido.
