UST men's basketball beats FEU, ends three-game losing streak

University of Santo Tomas (UST) men's basketball team secured a 79-70 victory over Far Eastern University on Sunday, snapping their three-game losing streak and maintaining their position in the chase for a Final Four spot in UAAP Season 87.

Coach Pido Jarencio emphasized that every remaining game is crucial as UST aims to solidify its place among the top four teams, with Nic Cabañero leading the team's effort and motivating his teammates.

UST improved their record to five wins in eleven games, keeping them one and a half games ahead of three teams tied at 3-7: Far Eastern University, Ateneo, and Adamson.

Senior Nic Cabañero scored a team-high 16 points and led UST's comeback from their recent slump, emphasizing the importance of unity among teammates during tough times.

Despite Veejay Pre's strong performance with a career-high 31 points and 14 rebounds for Far Eastern University, UST managed to secure the win.
