UST secures sixth straight Final Four berth in UAAP women's basketball

University of Santo Tomas secured its sixth consecutive Final Four berth in the UAAP Season 87 women's basketball tournament by defeating Far Eastern University with a score of 70-54 on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Ana Mae Tacatac led UST with 12 points from three-pointers, while Kent Pastrana recorded a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds; Amby Ambos also contributed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

UST coach Haydee Ong emphasized the importance of team character and consistency in securing their Final Four spot, noting that player development is key to the program's success.

Adamson strengthened its bid for the Final Four by narrowly defeating University of the Philippines with a score of 57-54, tightening its grip on third place with a 7-3 record.

Elaine Etang scored 22 points and five steals to lead Adamson, while UP's playoff hopes were dented as they fell to fifth place with only five games remaining.
