UST Pepito, Abbu thank fans after volleyball loss

Detet Pepito and Pia Abbu led University of Santo Tomas in their bid to keep the women's volleyball campaign alive but fell short against De La Salle University last Saturday.

Despite not reaching their championship aspirations, both players expressed gratitude for their supporters and teammates throughout the season, emphasizing their pride and appreciation for the team’s podium finish.

Pepito highlighted the team's perseverance despite a slow start in the season, while Abbu emphasized the sacrifices made by the team this year.

Abbu contributed a total of 84 points to UST's top scorers, including Angge Poyos, Reg Jurado, Marga Altea, and Beth Hilongo.

Both players are considering their future involvement with the team for one last season but currently focusing on academics as finals week approaches.
